Storage Server Systems

Matters are slightly different with a Storage Server system. Here, Storage Server is provided pre-loaded on a relatively small hard drive; for instance, with the Thecus W2000 and W4000 it has been loaded on a 64GB SSD that becomes the C: drive. Additional hard drives, are then purchased and installed for the data storage. There is no option for RAID, instead Storage Spaces is used to provide resilience.
